Re: Lansa Editor on virtual machine
@HamadSheikh, Thank you, it helped to disable Hyperthreading, I still see the 100% CPU spike, and the editor is faster, but still not as fast as the older v12 and v13.

Re: Lansa Editor on virtual machine
@MarkD, I compare editor version on the same vm, so connection and "hardware" is exactly the same. @Stewart, I see that VMware tools 10 (newest) support DirectX 10 ( http://pubs.vmware.com/Release_Notes/en/vmwaretools/1006/vmware-tools-1006-release-notes.html ), I don't know much about DirectX but i...

Re: Lansa Editor on virtual machine
@MarkD, it is on a dedicated vmware server, we connect via Remote desktop. @Stewart, when typing source the editor is falling behind the typing, we see a huge difference from v13 to v14. The fastest way to test it is create a new function, place the cursor at the top, and keep pressing "Enter". in v...

Re: Lansa Editor on virtual machine
I'm not sure about the host, but the guest have there specs:
CPU: 2x Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 @ 2.4 GHz
Memory: 16Gb
Not sure about the disks.
I don't see alot of disk activity then using the Editor.
I have heard that the Editor uses 3D graphics, but it's not easy to get on a VM guest.

LANSA Editor v14 speed
Hi, After using editor v14 and v13 sp2 we have noticed a difference in the speed of the editor. On the same machine the v14 editor is significant slower than v13 editor, the v14 editor seems to be lagging. An easy test is to create a new function, create some code on line 2, place the cursor in the ...

Re: LANSA integrator WSDL
Last I had the same issue I got a 3. party tool to merge the wsdl into one wsdl, I can't remember what tool I used but maybe this can help: http://wcfextras.codeplex.com/ I think I did something like downloading all the imported files to a local webserver without auth, but Integrator did not load th...

Default Button
Hi,
If a button has "ButtonDefault" checked, it's styled as Focused, can I change this?
As a workaround, I would create another style for default buttons, or handle the 'enter' event myself, but I would like not to do this.

Re: Resize popup
Hi Stewart,
With TouchSize enabled it can resize, but the popup moves down in the right corner when resizing starts, I have not enabled TouchMove.
We are on EPC 140010, is this changed in EPC 140020 ?

Label width by content
Hi, Is it possible to scale a labels width to the content ? I need a label to show different status messages, like "error adding to basket", "qty not a number" and so on. I could add multiple labels where I set the caption and a fixed width, and show/hide these, but it would be easier if one label c...

Re: V14 documentation
Hi,
What part of the documentation are you missing ?
The general documentation is available from http://docs.lansa.com/140/EN/
But there are some hidden gems, like http://docs.lansa.com/140/EN/lansa016/ that are a list of Visual LANSA Component Classes, I have found this page very helpful.

Re: VL-Web - Widget and session key
Thanks Danny,
I think, I will use SessionKeyMethod(Cookie).
Missed it, because it wasn't in the docs http://docs.lansa.com/140/EN/lansa016/PRIM_SRVM.htm

Re: VL-Web - Widget and session key
What I need is a way to post the session key to a custom url, and combine this with mod_rewrite to have "pretty" urls. I would then use a widget to handle post requests. Maybe this is the wrong way to handle this? I would use session on the server to handle customer data, and handle if the user is l...

VL-Web - Widget and session key
Hi, I'm trying to find a way to get the session key value in a widget, so I can post it in a form to external site and return to the same session. As a last resort I could use javascript to pass the 2. <script> tag to find the session key, but hope there is a better way. Do anyone know of a way to g...
