Re: VLF-ONE Framework - Download iSeries Table to Excel

A quick way to create a CSV file on the server is to use the TRANSFORM_LIST built-in function - use the "AU" or "OU" option. https://docs.lansa.com/14/en/lansa015/index.htm#lansa/transform_list.htm Also, this is all just Visual LANSA stuff and nothing specific to VLF-ONE. i.e. VLF-ONE is just a Visu...

Re: VLF-ONE Framework - Download iSeries Table to Excel

There's several ways to do this. (1) - Create a CSV file on server and return that file as the payload of your server module. (2) - Create a CSV stream on the client from data returned by server module in a working list. (3) - Create a real XLS file using LANSA Integrator. Note: MS-Excel tends to op...

Re: Removing Ramp Messages from Previous Session

I don't think there is a persistence option (by default) on messages plucked from 5250 screens. Your arrive scripts so be using function GET_FORM_MESSAGE to get the visible message : https://docs.lansa.com/14/en/lansa050/index.htm#lansa/lansa050_0940.htm I would first run through the problematic 525...

See https://docs.lansa.com/14/en/lansa048/i ... n_0040.htm for how to programtically display (float) and close a slider pane.

Re: VLF-One Visual Notification on Main Panel

I think that might be the way to go - change the height and then cause the slider itself to slide into view, instead of trying to change the slider's tab color. You could start a timer so that the slider contracts back to a tab again after 2 seconds (say) unless the user clicks on it to view their m...

Re: Removing Ramp Messages from Previous Session

See https://docs.lansa.com/14/en/lansa048/index.htm#lansa/lansa048_8220.htm for standard RAMP session exit points. If you decided to use avRAMP_SHOW_CURRENT_FORM then the current command handler reference (passed in a a parameter) should be used instead of #COM_Owner here: #AVFRAMEWORKMANAGER.avClea...

Re: VLF-One Visual Notification on Main Panel

Regarding the other questions .....
I think you can make a slider display itself when it detects some event.
This means you could alter its width to become temporarily skinnier, and to also open and slide in and then close again on a timer.
You can certainly put a badge onto the slider's main panel.

Re: How to position to a certain page in an instance list?

Otherwise you could try using the VerticalScrollTo method of the low level instance list visualization. See this for how to reference the low level instance list visualization (i.e. the #PRIM_LIST object) - https://docs.lansa.com/14/en/lansa048/index.htm#lansa/lansa048_7070.htm See this for using th...

Re: How to position to a certain page in an instance list?

Have you tried suggesting the automatic instance list filtering capbility - you don't have to code anything and it will search on all the instance list columns?

Re: How to position to a certain page in an instance list?

An "instance list" means you are using the VLF (Visual LANSA Framework) I think?

What platform are you programming for? Windows or Web?

If Web, are you using VLF-ONE or classic WAM based VLF-WEB ?

Re: VLF-One Visual Notification on Main Panel

Just to check we are talking about the same thing ...... your slider is a RP with ancestor VF_AC028O? If that's the case then you should be able to apply a style to it background panel to change the background color. The style should be defined in code and then applied to the background panel as it ...

Re: VLFOne - Active Menu Options

The code counts "panes" - so often a business object would have at least 2 and sometimes 3. e.g. A pane containing the filter and instance list and the pane containing the command handler tabs would be the most common scenario for 2 panes. You probably could tell the difference between a filter pane...

This example command handler will enumerate all open panes. Re: VLF-One Keyboard Mapping

Do you still need a field exit key in the aXes/RAMP 5250 parts of the application?

Also, I would expect the Ctrl key behaviour to be different between fields on an aXes/RAMP 5250 screen and fields in a "normal" VL-Web panel area.

Is that what happens?

You are not using developer user profiles that have LANSA security officer or partition owner rights are you?
Doing that may allow you to trample over normal checks.

Re: VLF-One: RAMP Session Started

You might be able to use these in your own custom system manager to track starts and stops.

https://docs.lansa.com/14/en/lansa048/i ... 8_8220.htm

That way any of your code shoudl be able to check the status.

Remember that there can be more than one active session though.

Re: [VLF ONE RAMP] How to pass a value to #RAMPUser and #RAMPpassword of UF_OLOGON IIP

I juste remembered these new client side user exits for RAMP: https://docs.lansa.com/14/en/lansa048/index.htm#lansa/lansa048_8220.htm Note how the start session one allows the RAMP user profile and password to be set just before a session is started.
