Re: *DATETIME vs *DATE & *TIME

I like *DateTime. It saves time and like you say you can extract whatever you need.

I'm pretty sure in IBM i SQL you can define how many digits you want for the microseconds. Not sure if LANSA allows that.

Re: Wam stuff missing

Yeah I updated that directory to match but still no good. I was able to get the V11 version of the app working :o so I guess we'll use that.

No x_Err in /LANSA_dc4pgmlib/x_lansa/log

Where is the wam log?

Wam stuff missing

I'm working on a customer system they have just migrated to a new IBM i server. A Wam fails with no joblog or message when they click a button on their web app. I confirmed this works on the old server. I tried debugging but the IDE never returns after the button is pressed, the WAM goes back to the...

Re: Possible to pass the column source?

Thanks I did try that too. Do you know if that BIF work on end user windows pc’s or does it require a repository?

I am going to submit an RFE. We’ve wanted stuff like this forever.

Possible to pass the column source?

I want to create a reusable part where I can pass any type of column (tree, grid, list) and retrieve the column heading. The column heading may be Description, caption, etc. If it's description, I want to use FieldAttributeAsString( Description ) to return the description. To do that I think I need to...

Re: Bigger screens, more resolution, users can't read the data

Thanks Dino. But marginleft and width properties remain the same when you increase the font, correct?

Bigger screens, more resolution, users can't read the data

New monitors coming in 31xx X 19xx. Of course, VLF-WIN doesn't increase font size when you expand the size of the window.

Anyone dealt with this? I wish Windows 10 could zoom only one application but I can't find that anywhere. Could the Framework have a setting for a zoom?

Re: Layout manager again

Hi Dino: I would like the PDF in column 2 to expand. The sample you sent it doesn't expand. It stays in the center.

I can resize the dialog but I have a feeling that users won't know how to do that. Is it possible to get the dialog to resize when the parent browser window resiszes?

Re: Function that calls trigger

I did see the character data but deciphering the numeric has me stumped. Does it show your function name anywhere?

I'm considering changing the call_server_functions temporarily to just call's since I should be able to see that in the job stack.

Re: Function that calls trigger

My trc doesn't look that nice. But here is the first time that field is in the trc for that job# at that time. Is the hex bytes the value? I'm looking for a value of 24. | 00000270 01 e2 c4 d7 c9 c5 c3 c5 e2 50 40 00 0c 53 00 0b .SDPIECES& ..ë.. | | 00000280 00 d7 c6 d5 05 00 03 00 00 00 c2 50 00 00...

Re: Function that calls trigger

I wasn’t able to find that job in the TRC but I did find the date/time the transaction happened.

Couldn’t find the field SDPIECES I was looking for though. Should that be in the TRC? Any tips for searching this 2.5 gig file

Re: Function that calls trigger

The file, lets call it "SD", is an other file and I can't add a field to it. I'm thinking of creating another file that I will write a record every time SD is updated. That will have the function system variable. Then in the trigger I will look for that file and update what was changed. If the log f...

Function that calls trigger

I have a trigger function that checks some fields. If I use *FUNCTION to write out a log file I get the name of the trigger function. Is there a way to get the function that called the OAM?

Thanks

We have a field called SDQTY that is being updated by VL Windows (TXxxxxxxxxx job). IBM i journaling confirmed it is the OAM for the table. I've done a cross reference on SDQTY and investigated every component. None of them do an update with that field. I've even done a source find and investigated ...

Layout manager again

I always struggle with this. I have a web page, with a reusable part that displays a list. If they click on an entry in the list, a dialog pops up with a tree view. The tree view list items are a web page. No matter what size I make tile1, it won't shrink or expand. RP1 --Dialog1 --Tile1 list (fit t...
