TRANSFORM_LIST field separator

Hi,

I like to use TRANSFORM_LIST to create CSV files in a servermodule of a LANSA web application.
In Germany we need a semicolon (";") as field separator - not a comma.
How can we tell TRANSFORM_LIST to do so.

Bet regards,
Joerg

Re: Windows Printer Dialog

Hi Mark,

thank you for this information - it is working!
I put WPEN and WPPD in the initialize event of a form, then called a function with the print commands - and the printer dialog appears.

Best regards,
Joerg

Windows Printer Dialog

Hello everybody,

how can I open the windows printer dialog (in a form and / or in a web page)?
And how can I assign the selected printer to the printing process in RDMLX?
Reports are generated and printed with the RDMLX commands.

Best regards,
Joerg

Re: Web Pages: Graphs and Charts

Hi Mark,

no, we have no experiences in using VLF or VLF-ONE.
Would be great if the new widget can be used in VL development, too.

Have a nice day,

Web Pages: Graphs and Charts

Hello, I am missing a control for graphs and charts that can be used in web pages. Do I overlook something? Only way I have found are the sample widgets for google graph - but these examples are far to simple for realizing the requests we have (e.g. we have to change colors of bars and pies on the f...

Unix Timestamp

Hello, I have to transfer data into IBMi database files that contain datetime fields in unix timestamp format. E.g.: datetime field = 1478069006 - has to be converted into date = 02/11/2016 and time = 07:43:26 How can this be done easily with LANSA? Are there any intrinsic functions or BIFs for this...

Open / Close of files in server modules

Hi, we often notice that we get locks on IBMi files when using web server modules. Thus we started to add OPEN *ONDEMAND and CLOSE statements to the automatically generated source code - a task that is quite time-consuming due to the enormous number of files of our ERP system. It would be very helpf...

Re: Working with DLLs

Hi Mark,

thank you for this. Because I never got in touch with .NET so far I did not know about this possibility.
I will give it at try and hope I will get it running :-)

Re: List of my favorite VL IDE shortcuts

Hello Hamad, when you have opened Visual LANSA IDE you can click on the little black arrow on the top right corner of the screen (just beside the littel white question mark with the blue background). In the pop up you can select "ShortCust" and by this you open the LANSA documentation and here all s...

What do I have to do to make external DLLs accessible in Visual LANSA?

Re: Playing Soundfiles

Hi Stewart, thank you for the example and the explanations. It works fine, great! But I am a little bit confused because when using #SOUND1.Play in a #PRIM_FORM component the VL editor says: "Play is not supported on Win32 and will have no effect". Compile target is set to "32 bit" but it works neve...
