Try recompiling everything in and around the problem area + clear browser cache.

Re: Dynamic Drop Down

For Issue 2 you could also consider moving your filter to be on the top or bottom of the instance list - possibly rearranging the 3 drop downs to go across the screen.

Re: LANSA Mobile App

If you are going to run sometimes in the browser by itself, and sometimes in the LANSA Mobile container it might be useful to abstract some things like tracing slightly. The attached zip file contains a system services manager singleton named vDemo_SystemManager where typically all shared applicatio...

VL-Windows and VL-Web interoperation example

If you already have a VL-Windows based application you might benefit from adding adding VL-Web components to it. For example, developing a generic reporting application component might be easiest using VL-Web. Or, you may get higher levels of code reuse from embedding new VL-Web application componen...

Re: VLF One Filter

Assuming that table SEARCH is defined on your PC (localhost) it might be simpler to debug your SELECT loop using a Windows form, instead of a web page and a server module. For example, there is a normally a shipped demonstration table named PSLMST, so by compiling this windows form I can more easily...

Re: VLF One Filter

Please ignore this if I misunderstood your question .................. I am assuming that you have a working filter and you want to now add some new searchable fields to it by changing the code. For example, if you had a working filter that does a customer Name search and you wanted to add a new typ...

Re: Stored Procedure

One thing to consider about formatting SQL commands using data input from a UI is to consider that the user can type anything in. For example you might format "CustomerNumber = '" + #CustNo + "'" as part of an SQL command. So if a user types 324'566 into the #CustNo input field it would crash your S...

Re: Stored Procedure

The field needs to be, and can be, longer. That might fix your problem, or there might be more issues with your code in how you formatted the USING() content. If your server module still fails there are few standard ways to find out why: - Check all the error logs (option in very top right of your I...

Re: Logical View Other Files

It's not a script - it's intended to be part of a LANSA program written in RDMLX. Assuming you are working with VL-Web applications, create a basic web form with a "Copy" button that calls a server module's SrvRoutine in the usual way. In the called server module's SrvRoutine execute the select/inse...

Re: Logical View Other Files

Sorry, I don't know the answer to that for sure.
I would think the answer is no, but writing and running a program like this should solve that.

select *all from_file(OTHER)
insert fields(*all) to_File(YOURCOPY)
endselect

Re: Logical View Other Files

My understanding is that files (tables) are either defined and maintained by LANSA, or they are defined and maintained by some other external tool - this is called an OTHER file. You can’t change an OTHER file in LANSA. To change an OTHER file, alter it using the external tool, then reload the chang...

Re: VLF ONE User Logon

Anything snapped into the VLF must be specified by its Identifier, not its name. You can show the Identifier of an object in your VL-IDE lists like this: image1.PNG Here the names and the identifiers are all the same: image2.PNG Technically this happens because of the way that the *CREATE_FROM optio...

Re: Check VLF ONE user password in Windows environment

You can see in the code of UF_OLOGON that it can check user profiles and passwords against IBM i operating system profiles - you have to uncomment some code samples and recompile. For windows there is no equivalent code as the VLF itself no longer allows passwords to be saved or stored, so you will ...

Re: UF_OLOGON fail to login

The errors indicates that your version of UF_OLOGON could not be loaded, it did not fail when it was running. You would not have changed UF_OLOGON because of what the comments say - you must have made your own copy of it. What was your version of UF_OLOGON named? What was the ID of your version of U...
