Re: WAD280B – An Employee Maintenance Application – Part B

In this case I think the error is telling you the problem. Its saying that it can't find the compiled object for xdemomes, also known as xDemoMessageBar, on the web server (sapdevln, your iSeries I assume). You would need to check it in and compile it. xdemomes is the identifier of the component - t...

Re: Tutorial WAD050 – Using Tiles

ok thats good. If you want to use localhost, its usually configured automatically during the lansa install on your PC. In the IDE, if you look at the File --> Options --> Web panel, there is a property called Base URL. If its http://localhost/ or similar, try the test button next to it to see if its...

Re: Tutorial WAD050 – Using Tiles

I'm assuming that you are using the iSeries as the webserver. If thats the case, then you have to check in and compile the xdemo objects from your PC. Start with just that one that causes the problem. (xdemo_25) Most people find its more convenient to use the localhost webserver on your PC to run yo...

Re: Tutorial WAD050 – Using Tiles

Hi, Its as good a place as any to ask a question. I don't have your complete example, but using a simplified version like this seems to work ok: Begin_Com Role(*EXTENDS #PRIM_WEB) Layoutmanager(#Layout1) Define_Com Class(#PRIM_TBLO) Name(#Layout1) Define_Com Class(#PRIM_TBLO.Column) Name(#Column1) D...

Re: How can i convert LANSA Nvarchar type to .net String

I am not sure if this is the right answer for what you are trying to do, but if you want to convert a unicode string to a string, you can use:

#address.AsNativeString

Re: VLF-ONE Listening for Events in Commands

Another way to do it is to change the filter to force the command handler to automatically display for the first entry.

Re: VLF-ONE Listening for Events in Commands

I would listen for the event on all the command handlers. So the filter would signal like this: Evtroutine Handling(#Search_Button.Click) #Com_Owner.uSelectData #Com_Owner.avSignalEvent To(BUSINESSOBJECT) Withid(CLOSECMH) Endroutine and each command handler would listen like this Evtroutine Handling...

Re: VLFONE: Using #SYS_WEB.RequestFailed in UF_OEXEC

Hi David, You can't handle errors that way in VLF-ONE, because VLF-ONE is already internally listening for #SYS_Web.RequestFailed. VLF-ONE expects that if you have a scenario where you think failure is likely, you will have coded for it as in shipped example DF_T43H1O. (Example Applications --> Adva...

Re: Show documents in VL Web

There are some shipped VLF-ONE examples that might help show options you can use. In the VLF-ONE demo, they are under Example Applications --> Use Case --> Upload Download --> Examples 2 and 3 (DF_T68H2O DF_T68H3O) But you would need to test your solution on a variety of browsers and PCs, because th...

Re: VLF-ONE iSeries Deployment Oddities

I am assuming you are using VLF epc141017, since the VLFONE_Engine.js is quite a recent feature. And I'm assuming VLF epc141017 has also been installed on the iSeries. I just checked that the partition initialize on the iSeries does install VLFONE_Engine.js, so it would be worth checking whether the...

Re: Batch compile of webevent functions V12

If you need an example of using the the compile_process bif, there is one here: http://docs.lansa.com/14/en/lansa015/Content/LANSA/compile_process.htm Its a lansa function that requests a process name from the user and compiles all the functions in a process, but you could modify it to compile a kno...

Re: Corrupt/Missing License

It is probably best to report this kind of problem to support, who are experienced in diagnosing such problems. It is possible for a licence to expire. There are 2 links: 1. Browser -> Webserver 2. Webserver -> Data Application server It seems like it is the second link that is failing. Sometimes it...

I'm not sure of the environment you are in, but if its something like a #PRIM_LIST column, in VL_web, V14SP1 or later, I found that the ColumnVisible property was better for controlling column visibility.

Re: Dynamic Drop Down

Hi, Re issue 1 - Dynamic dropdown It depends on how you have coded the NEGERI and CAWANGAN drop downs. If they are #PRIM_LIST controls visualized as dropdowns, then in general you have an event routine that handles NEGERI.ItemClick or ItemGotFocus that clears the CAWANGAN list and loads it with appr...

Re: Source Code to text files

You might be able to achieve something simple like that by using the lansa user exits on the IBMi. There is one called IJDT (I Just Did This) that I think gets run when someone checks something out for update. The user exit is just a CL program that receives information about the action, such as an ...
