Re: Report with images

If you are using VLWEB it possible, via a widget, to create complex PDFs on the browser side with several JavaScript libraries such as jspdf. In fact, these can be made to work on the iseries by executing the VLWEB RP in node.js. If you want PDFs on the iSeries side then LANSA Integrator is the way ...

Re: VLWEb Dropdown Items (RESOLVED)

Further. I've added a bunch of items and I want the first to be selected when the drop down is first displayed. I've tried #ddChartType.Items.Add Value('MSColumn2D') Caption('2D Bar') #ddChartType.Items.Add Value('MSColumn3D') Caption('3D Bar') #ddChartType.Value := 'MSColumn2D' but the dropdown com...

VLWEb Dropdown Items (RESOLVED)

Dropdown item has value and caption properties but the documentation example only has

#ddChartType.Items.Add( 'Some Item' )

Is it possible to set the caption property in the same statement?

Widget Woes (RESOLVED)

I'm trying to implement a widget around FushionCharts - a popular charting js library we've being using for years. I can get it to display something if put all the code in the onRealizeControl but that's not realistic for real world use. I have PROTOTYPE.onRealizeControl = function( parentDiv ) { pa...

Re: VL WEb Browser Console Messsage

I wasn't sure whether the messages were coming from LANSA or not since it referenced lansa.js. The server module calls are definitely asynchronous although the times reported 175- 200+ ms are in line with what I expect the call to take. The server method in question is getting a couple of largelish ...

Re: VL WEb Browser Console Messsage

From the looks of my logging this looks like it happens when I make a server module call.

I don't know what makes that a violation though as 175ms seems pretty quick.
I'm also sometime seeing

[Violation] 'setTimeout' handler took 67ms

Arrays

I've been using the LI ExcelService Recently and to populate the sheets body you need to specify either a working list or (for the RP version) a collection. If you use a working list you can create a two dimensional array by creating a bunch of fields and putting a DEF_ARRAY over them then putting t...

Re: Visual Style in Grid Cell (SOLVED)

You can use a reusable in a grid. I did it a couple of years back. If you search this forum, you should fine some sample code. You need to experiment to see what the performance is like before committing to it as it wasn't great then but a lot of work has been done in this area since.
