Re: Reading huge JSON data in web service invocation....

Thanks for the response. For the majority of our use cases XPRIM is the easiest way to go and we will not be making wholesale changes in this area. For those cases with large data sets the PRIM stuff is a lifesaver and has allowed me to look at different ways of doing a couple of things. So no matte...

Re: Reading huge JSON data in web service invocation....

Tony As I've mentioned elsewhere in this forum the speed improvement of PRIM_JSON.Reader over XPRIM_JSON.Reader is significant to the point where for one real life use case XPRIM_JSON.Reader was practically useless. I was going to have to poll a service every two minutes and take more than two minut...

See my response elsewhere in this forum. #PRIM_JSON.Reader is MUCH faster than #XPRIM_JSON.Reader

Using jsonreader with a file

Elsewhere in this forum there is a suggested way of accessing json data by saving to a temporary text file then using JSONReader. I can't work out how to access the data within the loop and I can't find any documentation. I can see the JsonReader has TokenAs... properties but I can't work out how to...

IDE Enhancement Request

The Go to Tab contains access to BIFs, Routines, I/O operations etcetera. It would be really useful to identify call, transfer and submit statements as well. I often find myself trying work out a path through various applications and using find looking for 'call' leads to lots of false positives, es...

Re: Disable Autofill function in Browser

You can't turn autofill of in all your clients browsers. Try the following

This will work in html but I don't know if lansa provides a way of implementing this.

<input name="userid" autocomplete="off">

Re: Using Exec_Os400 command in V13

If you can't call it from the WAM you could probably put the Exec_OS400 in an RDML function and then call that.

Debug an RDMLX Trigger

I need to debug a trigger. This is straightforward with RDML I just press F10 but I can't work out how I do this for RDMLX. Is this possible?

Re: Deploy on android and ios?

Just to clarify further. VLWEB can already do 99% of what is required to be a PWA, its just a question of packaging. A VLWEB can run on any platform that supports a modern browser and can be designed to run offline. What distinguishes a PWA is that from a browser the app can be installed locally, ap...

Re: Deploy on android and ios?

What we need here is a Progressive Web Application (PWA). See https://developers.google.com/web/progressive-web-apps/ for more details. This would allow us to create applications that could be delivered via the web but install themselves on the desktop as an icon and be managed identically to a 'nor...

Built in Function Error Handler

Currently if an error occurs in a Built In function call the function crashes. It is not always possible to check all possible crash conditions.

It would be nice to have an on_error(*next) so these things can be handled gracefully.

Rich Text Editor

I'm sure I read somewhere in this forum that a rich text editor had been developed (using quill.js) for use in frameworks and that this was based on a widget that could be used in vlweb but I can't find it. Anyone got any information on this?
