Re: PDF creation

Can I use VL to create a PDF report? We don't have Integrator (unless somehow that is included in VL). I want to be able to create a fairly simple item report, with item, some text, and the item image. Basically a checklist of items in a shipment. If so, is there a sample application that comes wit...

Re: Compilation Linkage Failed

Try turning off compile component only when necessary. IMO that setting is worthless. If I click compile I want a compile.

Re: VLF-WIN Error in deployed version

Turns out that if I eliminate this tree from the RP it doesn't crash the VLF: Define_Com Class(#PRIM_TREE<#LT_OAINQ>) Name(#Tree_1) Displayposition(3) Height(391) Left(0) Parent(#Sheet_ord) Tabposition(3) Width(105) This is my component #LT_OAINQ that I've stripped to nothing. Function Options(*DIRE...

VLF-WIN Error in deployed version

We have been deploying our app for years. We did another deployment yesterday and now the users are seeing this error when running one of our commands. This customer doesn't use any filters, all of the commands are business object commands. This is the previous version of VLF, not VLF-ONE error.png ...

Sorry we are on PC so we can use a camera. Sys_web navigate doesn’t load another browser.

VL-WEB Layout

I have a web page with 3 rows, top row is pixels, bottom row is pixels, middle row is proportion. Rows 1 & 3 contain header and footer info. I want the footer to float down no matter how tall the component in the 2nd row is. I show many different reusable parts in the middle row. But the footer row ...

Re: Job Date, System Date

#STD_DTIMX.now will give you the correct time stamp. You could extract the values from there.

Or #Std_Datex.now and #std_Timx.now

Image questions

I have a VL-WEB App that is running in LANSA Mobile. It's only under mobile because other apps need access to cameras. I show images in a list, when the user clicks on it, the app does sys_web.navigate to show the image directly. There is no zoom available or right click to save/copy the image. Is t...

VLF-Win Status bar

Is there a way to add information to the bar at the bottom? We currently are using set_Session_value in our embedded interface point to indicate the user is in test mode. Maybe even in the window title? We would like to show Test=True or simply the word TEST when in test mode. Is there a good way to...

Re: SQL Join

Does your select_Sql command have IM.IMITNO IM.IMDESC fields in it?.

Don't you need a comma in between the two fields?

Re: SQL Join

I did A BUNCH of Select_Sql recently. If you can create views to make your selections and joins happen in the DB and you don't have to worry about them in LANSA. If you are connecting to IBM i the joblog will be a huge help. For instance, you specify 10 fields in the SELECT statement but a different...

Re: Submitting a function on IBM i

I'm guessing it's because LANSA doesn't write it's RDMLX statements to the joblog. Is there anyway to get RDML/X to log?

Submitting a function on IBM i

I'm using this command to submit a function. This is already running via CALL_SERVER_FUNCTION. This is VL-WIN Submit Process(PSO) Function(FSOPOST) Exchange(#soBatc #std_Obj) Jobd(DC@POST) At the end of the function I want to print the joblog so I do this: Exec_Os400 Command('DSPJOBLOG output(*PRINT...

Re: Instance List - 1 record or many

Your whereclause needs to be correct. It probably has somefield = somevalue, it should be somefield like somevalue%.

Does the VLF have an option that you check to tell it to select greater than equal or generic?
