Re: VL-Web image in a list

When a user clicks on an image it opens up full screen view (NICE) but it always shows the last image in the list no matter which they click.

Do I have to do something special to get the currentitem URL when they click?

Thanks

Re: VL-Web image in a list

Thanks Casey. I had tried image but not ImageFileName. Fun story. In order to get images for an invoice, I have to post a URL to a website, receive and parse an XML that gives me the file names, then copy those files from the imaging server to the web server so that I can serve them. Oh and probably...

VL-Web image in a list

Is it possible to show images in a list where the image is on a server? For instance an image may be at http://myserver:82/tmp/1020581081.jpg

If not, any tips on what I should be doing to show the users multiple images.

Thanks, Art

I asked support about this maybe a year ago and was told the sessions can't be shared.

Tip# 1: Don't use WAM's. Use VL-WEB.

Did you compile your WAM?

Did your last copy of the Framework files complete normally? I would try to upload them again.

Remember popup position, grid column changes

How are you remembering popup sizing on VL-WEB? Users want their popups to stay the size they like. Should we use sys_web local storage? Also, for VL-WIN and VL-WEB, are you remembering when users change the grid column widths? A long time ago there was a grid helper RP that did some cool stuff but ...

Yes that's how it works for us too. I don't have security issues later when QSECOFR group checks things in though. Normally we are part of the QPGMR group.

Re: Import Tables From IBM i

Art, if you click on the preview button (magnifying glass) in the popup after you click load but before you click save, it will show you if there are any 001, 002, etc. suffixes. At that point you can resolve and reload once things are resolved. OH boy. It's been awhile since I imported one. I'm ha...

Are you sure they are deleted from the repository? If you are using a slave install they also have to be deleted from the master repository.

Yes thank you. I thought when I set my RP to windows/IBM/linux it wouldn't let me compile, but I had it set to ALL.

Server Module invokes an RP that has Table I/O

I have an RP that gets inventory locations. I want my server module to use the code. If I change the RP to Web only, I'm able to call and use it on the web. Is this supported or am I doing something that's likely to stop working someday? I'd like to be able to set my RP to target platform ALL so I c...

Re: Import Tables From IBM i

The suffix's are very annoying, but I've never seen it make a mistake. I wish the import function alerted to duplicate field names before I import so I can resolve.

Re: iSeries Export/Import with IASP

I think we were one of the first LANSA customers to move to an iASP with an existing LANSA installation. They recommended that we don't do that. But we worked with Jerry and we were able to get everything working. There were lots of settings all over the place. Maybe the iASP you are importing is mi...

Re: iSeries Export/Import with IASP

AFAIK you can't specify the iASP, your job should be set to the right iASP before the import.

If you look at the joblog do you see any mention of the RP?

Re: iSeries Export/Import with IASP

Joe: Sometimes even if someone answers your question completely wrong, it still helps. So I'm going to go ahead and answer  I use iASP setups but currently only have one iASP. When you import, you have set the iASP to the correct one? I'd be nervous to just do a SETASPGRP from the command line...

Have you tried setting focus on the last entry only? Maybe the Prim_md list is setting focus on all of them.
