VLF-ONE - Check if filter is open from commandhandler

Post by kno_dk » Mon Aug 15, 2016 8:06 pm

Hi

I have a CRUD commandHandler RP which I can open from a filter and from the "new" button in the top menu. The RP maintain user for an application. If i create a new user from the filter it works correct, but if I use the NEW button and select user and use the save button it fails because it tries to add to the Filter list (which is not open). How can I check if the filter RP is open in the framework?
I get this error:
Fatal Error:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'mthADDTOLIST' of null
Location:

Reusable Part: EOI_USERD, line 243
Call Stack:

2. Mthroutine Name(uSave): EOI_USERD, line 243

Are you using the latest VLF-ONE version - EPC141006 released last week?
If not, then I think what you are encountering is defect that was corrected in EPC141006.
If you can't upgrade yet, then meanwhile you could condition your instance list logic by:

Code: Select all

If (#avListManager *IsNot *null)

Endif

so that it does not get executed unless the instance list manager (and an instance list) exists.
