Hi,
we use programs that are developped in Delphi which use LANSA-open statements to connect to our IBM Iseries.
In our quest replacing servers, we encounter the following problem.
The delphi-program runs in a citrix-environment (Citrix Xen desktop 7.17089). Citrix is running on a Windows 2016 server (alle patches applied) and a SQL 2017 database.
When we start the program, all is going well. The application is sometimes not used for over an hour. If after an hour, we try to use the program, Lansa Open produces a message 'LCE0023'
Does anyone have the same expirience, and more important, how can I fix this.
thanks.

Re: LANSA Open message LCE0023
Do you have this problem suddenly?
Or is this a new Citrix environment on a new Windows 2016 server and you have this problem since you run the LANSA Open programs in this new environment?
Kind regards,
René

Yes, it happened suddenly.
For Citrix we moved to new servers and also new (latest) Xendesk software versions.
We use LANSA 13.2 and LANSA Open.
In the former Citrix environment, it runs wihtout a problem. In the new situation the problem occurs.

Re: LANSA Open message LCE0023
So you have an existing environment without any problems.
In your new citrix-environment (Citrix Xen desktop 7.17089) on a Windows 2016 server (alle patches applied) and a SQL 2017 database, you have this problem: after an hour of inactivity, the Delphi/LANSA Open program returns with an LCE0023.
If you do not have this problem in your old (existing) environment, then this problem should be related to the new environment (not LANSA related I think).
Does anyone know if their is a setting somewhere (Citrix, Windows, database, firewall, etc.) that checks for an inactivity of an hour??
Kind regards,
René

Re: LANSA Open message LCE0023
This problem is solved and was related to a setting in their firewall.
Re: LANSA Open message LCE0023
Indeed, we changed a setting on the firewall.
It was defined to check for packets for 60 minutes. After that the connection was closed.
We set the timeout to a much larger digit.
Now it appaers to go well.
