Using dynamic Picklist visualizations

Post by dhnaigles » Thu Mar 17, 2016 4:58 am

2 Questions:
1. Is it possible to create a dynamic picklist that can be used for both windows and VL web?
2. How is the iMonitorSubject implemented in VL Web?

Hi David

1. It's a bit tricky because of the database access needs. You can't embed SELECT code in the picklist because it can't compile for the browser. There are ways of doing it, but making 2 is far simpler.

2. The interface is the same regardless of target platform.

Sorry David, my mistake

I don't think MonitorSubject is implemented in Web.

If you're looking to build dependent dropdowns in a list, have a look at the link below. I think this is a similar topic.
