Using VL-Windows Asynchronous Worker Processes

Why would you want to do this?

So that your VL application can perform asynchronous tasks. For example:

 Preparing and printing Order 41526 might take 3 or 4 seconds. You could offload the work to worker process 1 and let the user start to key in the details of the next order.

 Doing a customer credit check might involve a complex and slow web service interaction with a financial services organization. Rather than hold up the user, offload the processing to worker process 2 and get notified when it completes.

 Your VL application needs to use parts of another VL application located in another partition, or using another database, or even in another LANSA system.

 Your VL application needs to use parts of a VL application that has been compiled for a 64-bit or 32-bit environment that is different to its own environment.

See the MS-Word document in the attached zip file for more details.
