Where did BIF GET_FILE_INFO go?

Post by LANSAfolks » Fri Jan 10, 2020 10:40 am

We have a legacy system in which we use the GET_FILE_INFO BIF (BI@P129) to build some table information.

I noticed that this BIF is missing in V14SP2, even though it's documented in V14SP2 docs here: https://docs.lansa.com/14/en/lansa015/c ... e_info.htm

I was wondering if this was an oversight? Has anyone else noticed this? Any workarounds?

Hi Hammad,

Can you try doing a system initialization making sure to select local disk and standard built in function definitions?

If that does not work, then I would suggest contacting support for this issue.

Regards,
James

Thanks James,
Is there an equivalent import for the IBMi server too?
The BIF compiled object is not there on the IBMi server.

Some clarity required...for example, what do you mean by missing?
Is it that when you use the USE command in an RDML function, it isn't available? Or that the program bi@p129 doesn't exist?
is it an existing function that is falling over at runtime or are you developing?
and what version is this?
