I created a new v15 petition, did a load other file from IBM I.

The data shows as corrupted. The numeric customer number is negative . The name doesn’t come through at all. This was on vl-web and same results from vl-win.

I’m going to submit an incident hoping someone else knows if this is a fixed bug or some setting.

I applied the EPC and reloaded the file. Same issue. Waiting to hear from support.

As i said this is a new install. I checked some other load other files and they look ok.

For another test, I right clicked the table in the IDE and loaded records. I went into SQL Management and the data is OK on the PC.

I'm seeing possibly that server modules are reading other tables incorrectly. Some fields aren't returned. Windows works fine though. I heard this might have been seen before?

I found my problem but not my solution. My other files indexes/logicals aren't showing all the column values. The physical is. I checked the definiton of the logical and it shows "Columns available". What does this mean?
These are old DDS defined tables. The physical and logical all use Reference fields.

Also the other definition shows the format name as CNSRP00,but the format name is CNSRP00R.

From DSPFFD Record format . . : CNSRP00R

Has anyone seen this before? Support in N.America says they can import my file normally. Other than that they have no explanation.

I haven't had any luck getting answers from support. I want to know what "Available columns" message means. Is LPC on their normal christmas vacation in August?

What I understand so far is that you have this problem with just ONE OTHER file.
Correct?

Never seen this "Available Colums" before....

What field types are part of these views?

It is all of my files actually.

The fields are a mix of numeric and character. The files were developed probably back on V2 of OS/400 so there are no date types, blob’s, etc

Can you ask support US to send this "Available Column" to development?
Otherwise I can do this for you if you want

Don't know why they did not send below info to you yet, probably because they are so busy. We have lots to do as well.

What I found for you:

Regarding the Available columns, I’ve spoken to development and I’ve been
informed that

a) its not a new thing for V15

b) its not an issue or anything to worry about

It seems that you can define a Logical View in DDS so all fields are not
available ... and that is what this is about. The DDS definition of the
other file should show more.

Thanks Rene. I can't see any other fields in my loaded file though. Only the available columns are in there.
