Re: VL-IDE slow

Hi Art,

Looks Auto Complete related.... just to confirm, does it go away if you turn Auto Complete off?

Re: VL-IDE slow

Hi Art, I was surprised to hear you say you had a patch for 142030, I have no idea how you got away with applying a patch for 142060 onto 142030... that sounds like a bit of a miracle :) Hi LANSAfolks, if you're concerned about crashes you could at least get up to EPC142060 and/or talk to support......

Re: VL-IDE slow

Did you talk to support? I'm pretty sure there's a patch available addressing the time it takes to close a component...

Re: VL-IDE slow

Hitting the Up button in the details tab is taking over 1 minute while IDE is frozen That can't possibly be acceptable in any way. It'll have something to do with whatever is open in the IDE at the time. A lot of code runs when the focus moves to a new component. Designer, detailer, outliner and al...

Re: Can I add an arbitrary parameter into LANSA Web plugin page?

Hi Taku,

When you say:

"I would like to add a parameter to below HTML source."

What does that even mean?

Can you try to explain what you're trying to achieve?

Cheers,

Re: VL-Web: How to hide the buttons to increase or decrease the numeric value.

Hi Rieko,

Try changing the class of the column from PRIM_LIST.Number into PRIM_LIST.String... it'll still be numeric if the source is numeric but now the visualisation is a normal edit box instead of a spin edit.

Re: Arrays

Beware of the last one though.... You have to understand that prim_lcol stores object references and it has no problem with storing multiple references to the same object.

Which makes for some interesting side-effects if that's not what you meant.

Hi Paul,

Yes to different values per row and yes to NOT needing a reusable part anymore...

Example maybe tomorrow... This is just a quick answer from my phone 🙂

Re: Visual LANSA Context Menu

Hi,

The last EPC (EPC142060) introduced the #PRIM_LIST.DropdownColumn class, which will display a cell as a dropdown.

I'm not sure if that's what you're after... but it's worth mentioning on the forum anyway.

Re: Storing Reference in model. VLWEB

Correction (that will teach me quickly answering from my phone on the train trying to look clever :) )

Try this:

Code: Select all

Define_Com Class(#PRIM_OBJT) Name(#MyObject) Reference(*DYNAMIC)

Define_Pty Name(Object) Get(*REFERENCE #MyObject) Set(*REFERENCE #MyObject)

Re: KeyPress event is fired 2 times

Hi Sotiris,

it sounds like a bug (even though I couldn't reproduce it with a simple test).

If you can demonstrate the event fires twice I would just sent it to support.

Re: VL WEb Browser Console Messsage (RESOLVED)

Hi Jim, So what it's actually saying is that the processing of the request-completed logic took too long for its liking. It's reporting lansa.js because as far as the browser is concerned that's where the event handler is, that it results in an RDMLX event and therefor RDMLX running is beside the po...

Re: VL WEb Browser Console Messsage

Hi, What you can control from RDMLX though is whether or not your server module call is asynchronous. A synchronous call blocks the JavaScript execution/UI thread and should generally be avoided. If this particular case is already asynchronous it would be interesting to see what causes so much code ...

Re: Highlighting material design label from browser

Hi,

no, there's no current way to allow that for PRIM_MD.Label.

We're addressing it though, one of the upcoming EPC's will more than likely fix it, it seems a very reasonable thing to want to do.

Hi, The debugger variable window lists (in this order) - the instance you're in. - the routine variables of your current scope - the fields this instance uses (fields are GLOBALLY scoped by definition) Routine variables don't exists if they're not in scope, so I'm not sure what you mean by wanting t...

Re: Debugger Irritants

Hi Art,

I think there was a bug that got resolved in EPC142040 where that option was missing for Web Pages/Views/Dialogs and Server Modules.
Maybe that's what you're referring to.

That EPC also introduced the possibility to see the current value of variables in the hint.

Cheers,
Danny
