Is there an easy way to detect what browser and client (device, os, version, etc.) a user is using?
I know LANSA is supposed to shield us from all of that, but is there an easy way to get at it?
Back "in the day" we would use a browser sniffer to get that info and most of it can be gleaned from the user agent. I'm thinking I can create a widget that I can use to pull this info back, but was wondering if LANSA had a better built-in way to do so.
Related to this fisaco (http://vlforum.lansa.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1199). The idea is pretty simple, if I can detect this specific device, iPad 4th Gen in an AirWatch browser, then I won't display things that don't work well with it.

Re: Browser and Client Detection
Hi Joe
We never added anything to the product for this. We could never find a definitive answer, so rather than releasing something that would likely cause us trouble later, we opted for spending our development resources on more fruitful activities.
If you do make a widget, it would be great if you'd post it in the Tips and Techniques
