VL IDE Password Change

I am in an IBM i Slave setup and when I log into the VL IDE, I had always used my IBM i username and password to log into the VL IDE.

My password has changed on the IBM i, but I have to use my OLD password to log into the VL IDE, whereas I use my new password on the IBM i.

I had thought that in a Master / Slave setup, that these where the same.

How do I change my VL IDE password to match my new IBM i password?

1. Type your new user id and password into the IDE logon fields.
2. Click system Init...
3. Click the Options tab
4. Check the 'Enrolled PC Users (Master's) check box.

This will sync your iBM i password to the IDE. Next time you change your password, repeat the process.
