Integrator VCS

Post by jyoung »

Looking to move from a Slave setup to a VCS. I know I need repos for the partition and system info directories but I have not found anything relating to Integrator.

It looks like I can/should include the following from LANSA\Integrator\Studio:
  • studio.xml
  • \workspace
Specifically I should ignore:
  • STDERR.TXT
  • STDOUT.TXT
  • Studio-Editor.properties
  • \lib
  • \temp
Am I missing anything?

Hi Joe,

I am assuming that you are wanting the definitions of the projects, solutions, servers and services that you already have defined in Integrator Studio on your slave system to be in the new installation of VCS installation of Visual LANSA. Is that correct?

If that is the case, then yes the files studio.xml(For the server and service definitions) and the workspaces directory(for your projects and solutions) should be all you need.

This will probably have to be done externally to LANSA, setting up the local directory to point to your Integrator Studio directory from within your VCS system and managing from from within there.

It is probably worth while adding an ignore to jar files and the like, so these are not pulled into your VCS, just because they could take up a bit of space.

Regards,

James
