Repository synch compiling objects?

Post by atostaine »

Before SP2, when a developer PC received a component via repository synch, the developer would have to compile the component. Now it's showing as compiled, and the DLL confirms that.

Can anyone confirm this was changed? We like it by the way :-)

Hi Art,

This is a new feature of V14SP2.

The documentation for where to set this feature this can be found here https://docs.lansa.com/14/en/lansa012/c ... Usr01_2045

We aren’t using version control (still old school *u tasks) but I’ll look for this tomorrow.

Great news!

Hi James: We don't have the version control option in our Iseries slave setup. Is there another way to check that option if we are using Repository Synch?

HI Art,

This shouldn't be the case for slave systems, only for VCS Master systems, so there is not actually a way to set this.

Can please you forward this to your support agent.

Regards,
James
