Do you work with, or know of, organizations that:
Mandate, or are forced to use, Internet Explorer exclusively?
Have end users running on Windows 7 PCs?
No names please, just any comments or feedback you might have about the current usage state of these Microsoft products.
I’d like to get some feedback / discussion going on these 2 questions …………….

My organisation offers users a choice of Chrome, Firefox & IE
Windows 7 in currently in the process of being replaced by Windows 10 across the organisation.

Don't have any input or interaction with Systems, so could be wrong here, but ...
I don't think its a mandate; however, pretty much everyone uses Internet Explorer. I think that is what the system folks install and our intranet has LOTS of links to server files that will only open in IE.
I think all the user's workstations have been upgraded to Windows 10.

Hello Mark
I don't know of any of our customers who are mandated to use IE.
Windows 7 PCs are still fairly common but most organisations still on 7 are planning or upgrading soon.

Lots of Windows 7 PC's still around. I notice users that aren't using IE are using Mozilla more than Chrome.

On the weekend I had to get a new sim card from my telco. I noticed that to access their internal system they had to use IE. The reason this stood out was because they were using boot camp on a Mac to run Windows 7 just to open IE.

We don't have a mandatory of IE but some stuff we transmit with the bank has to be done through IE. Out of about 500 users we probably have 1/3 using Windows 7. "If it isn't broke, don't fix it!"
