Disabling profile in v13

Post by pravik »

Hi All.

When we try to disable a profile in V13 framework using default administration application shifted with framework and then try to login with the disabled profile we get message "This user profile has been disabled - see administrator" when we click on OK button from this message we get another pop up as fatal error message.

Wanted to know how do we restrict from receiving this fatal error message.

Thanks for you help in-advance.

Thanks,
Priya

When you say V13 - do you mean you are using LANSA V13 to run the application?

Hi Mark,

Yes we are using LANSA V13, and included shipped administration module into our framework.

There are two things to consider here in my opinion.

- In the VLF, logging on with disabled profile is, quite subjectively, considered to be a fatal error. i.e. The error stops you using the application and throws you out of it. That’s just how it was designed to work.

- You could ask for an enhancement through support. However, it’s extremely unlikely that one would be produced for V13 LANSA. Like all vendors, LANSA would be extremely reluctant to produce an enhancement for anything but the GA version of the product, which is V14.
