V12 on Win Srv 2019

Goodmorning everyone,

i would need to install v12 on a Win2019 server but the setup tells me that account control is ON even though i took it off.

Any suggestion is welcome ....
..except to change the version!!

See this topic from the forums about someone asking about turning off UAC. Looks like you may need to make a registry change as well.

Thanks Casey,
yes i did but the main problem was that it couldn't install the dot net framework. I installed it from the server manager now I can do every step of the installation, but it gives an error when it starts ....

I'm afraid it's not possible, I'll keep the old server on 🤔

V12 is probably not officially supported on Win Srv 2019. That being said, I don't know why you would get a filetransfer.exe error. Have you checked Windows event viewer to see if it shows what might be causing the error.

Thanks Casey,
I tried looking at the event log but there are exception codes that are beyond my knowledge.
I did a sleight of hand, launched a V13 installation with the same names as my V12. Then I replaced databases and folders with V12... it seemed to work but has some problems.
I give up.
