Windws Web Server sizing

Post by fawzyfadz »

I know server sizing is an imperfect (probably impossible) science – but I need to find out the number of processor cores a Windows Application server (separate database server) would need to comfortably support 60 users of a full-featured (CRUD, PDF report generating), transactional LANSA Web application.

I’m not looking for precise specs here but more of a general guideline.

Would anyone be able to share – should you have a Web application running off a Windows Application server - how many people use your Web application on a daily basis; what type of application it is; and the number of cores on the Application server?
