VLF_TUTORIAL (multiple instances) not matching current version??

Post by gillettd »

Hi,

I'm just going through the VLF-ONE advanced tutorials (Multiple Instances- WVF035) and i simply can't add the columns as mentioned in the tutorial!!! you can only add fields from the repository basically ... how can columns Acolumn1, Ncolumn1 be added to the instance list ?

we are running the latest epc (please see attachment system_info)

Please help (snapshots attached)

Cheers

Dominique

This tutorial is a bit out of date. It was created before the Common Activities tabs became available.

You now have to add data dictionary fields. But they don't have to be from a physical file (table), so you could use data dictionary fields like #STD_TEXT if you wanted.

If you were intending to turn the prototype into a real application, you would normally have a physical file (table) in mind, and would use that as the starting point. e.g. PSLMST or xEmployee
