Hi All,
One of our customer would like to run LongRange (for LANSA) on Cloud(such as AWS and Azure) and read/write database are on IBM i box.
I believe it can be acheived by using Connect Server.
However, it is not recommended way.
Do you have any other great idea to meet this requirement?
Have you ever done similar project to this?
I appreciate if I can get your advice.
Thank you in advance.
Note that the customer cannot put their data outside of IBM i box(e.g. on Cloud by synchronizing. ) because of their security policy.
Best Regards,

Re: Server on Cloud and data on IBM i
Hi Megumi Sawada
What you describe can also be achieved using model b/secure server, so instead of using the built in to connect to the server, the configuration in the web administrator for the machine in the cloud, will be using the listener in the IBM, accessing the data there directly
https://docs.lansa.com/15/en/lansa085/i ... 5_0020.htm
the data application server can be windows, IBM, etc.
Your web application/longrange application will reside in windows, but the data will come from the IBM.
