RESOLVED: WAM Design Not Available Error

Post by caseywhite »

I am trying to work around issues to get my 14.0 LANSA install working on Windows 11. I know that you need to be at 14.2 with the latest EPCs for it to work out of the box, but we can't upgrade right now. So I am trying to find a way to get it to work using manual work arounds.

If I copy my database and directories to my Win 11 laptop on which I did my LANSA install into the same directory that would have been on Win 10, I am able to open WAMs and Weblets.

However, if I try to view the XSL source of the WAM or weblet I get the following error message:

Design not available. Possible causes include.

1. WAM* files not correctly registered.
2. Incorrect permissions for WAM work directories (refer to LANSA settings).

Has anyone experienced this issue before or know how I might go about resolving it?

Thanks.

I resolved the issue. Looks like I had to manually register 3 WAM dlls. They are below.
regsvr32 WAMEditor.dll
regsvr32 WAMHTMLEditor.dll
regsvr32 WAMTextEditor.dll
